T-Shirt Grand Prix 1967 Monaco winner Denny Hulme

The 1967 Monaco Grand Prix was one of those races which remain outstanding in the Formula 1 history books. On May 7th Jack Brabham and Lorenzo Bandini start the 25th Grand Prix of Monaco from the first row of the grid. After Bandini and the Ferrari have taken the lead Brabham retires with a blown engine, Clark with a broken suspension and Stewart with a broken differential. Denny Hulme and his Brabham BT20 now take the lead with a number of fastest laps leaving Bandini behind. The Ferrari driver tries to follow Hulme's speed but loses the 312 V12 at the harbour. The car catches fire immediately and Bandini suffers fatal injuries. It is a sad debut victory for Denny Hulme but the first step to his World Championship title in 1967.

T-Shirt Eau Rouge Grand Prix Classic 1965

Eau Rouge - the unique corner at the end of the straight after La Source hairpin at the Belgian Spa Francorchamps GP circuit - is doubtlessly one of the most spectacular places to watch a Formula 1 race. Going flat out through Eau Rouge in a modern F1 car at 300 km/h is one of the last great challenges in the Grand Prix calendar.

The corner is named after the red and brown colored creek with its iron oxyde deposits which the track crosses at this place. Until today Eau Rouge ("red water") unites a strange fascination and the curse of this corner where Stefan Bellof was killed late in 1985 in a Group C Porsche.

Coming to Eau Rouge for the first time is an incredible experience as television is simply unable to catch the rise after this corner. A great challenge even today it must have been a very special corner for the Grand Prix heroes of the 1960s in their fragile F1 cars raced e.g. at the 1965 European Grand Prix at Spa Francorchamps under rainy conditions. Graham Hill had set the fastest lap during practice at more than 225 km/h racing the old Spa circuit used for Formula 1 until 1970.

T-Shirt Stefan Bellof The Monaco Rain King 1984

Incredibly fast young German Stefan Bellof joined the Tyrrell F1 Team in 1984 for his Formula 1 debut although Tyrrell was one of the last teams to use 3.0 litre engines against the strong new 1.5 litre turbos of Honda, TAG, Renault or Ferrari. So it was a success for Bellof to secure the 20th and last place on the grid after qualifying. When the Grand Prix on Sunday, June 3rd turned into a wet rain battle the time for the young German had come to prove his driving skills. With a lap time of 1'54''918 minutes he scored the second fastest lap of the race lying in 3rd position battling with Ayrton Senna. Many are sure that it would have been Bellof to win this Grand Prix if the race had not been stopped before the end.Stefan Bellof remains a motorsport hero especially for his German fans and Monaco 1984 was certainly one of his greatest moments.
